Visit XVII century Cheboksary with the help of virtual reality
Old engravings and modern technologies help to find out how Cheboksary looked like in the XVII century. Anyone can walk around the old city at the stand of Chuvashia at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
Thanks to virtual reality, at the exposition one can literally delve into history. After all, it is much more interesting to see what life was like in the distant past with your own eyes.
"Cheboksary burned to the ground twice, that’s why very little information has been preserved to this day. However, in the early XVII century, a traveler from Europe visited Cheboksary and made a black-and-white engraving. Thanks to his works we have recreated our city", — said Elena Makarova, the representative of the stand.
Among the main virtual exhibits is the Vvedensky Cathedral. It is the oldest Orthodox church in Chuvashia, as well as the building of Russia’s first prison.
The exposition also offers guests to become the Chuvash bogatyr Ulyp and take part in an animated interactive. By controlling the three-dimensional avatar, you can learn a lot of interesting things about local folklore.
The exposition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit is morning and weekdays, but on weekends the RUSSIA EXPO is also open to everyone. All expositions and events are free.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
