"Victory Day is in our DNA": Valeria congratulated guests of the National Centre RUSSIA on 9 May
People’s Artist of Russia Valeria congratulated guests of
the National Centre RUSSIA on the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory. Her
performance became one of the highlights of the premiere of the historical
performance "Soldiers’ Dreams" — an original project by the National
Centre RUSSIA, timed to coincide with Victory Day and the Year of Unity of the
Peoples of Russia.
"I
sincerely congratulate the guests of the National Centre RUSSIA on Victory Day.
This is a holiday that is already in our DNA, that awakens in us, with
renewed strength, love for the Motherland and love for our Fatherland. I wish
all of you, my dear friends, good news, peace, kindness and, of course, good
health for each of you. Be happy," Valeria said, addressing visitors to
the venue.
The artist
gave special congratulations to the veterans, who were honoured guests at the
premiere. Valeria admitted that performing for such guests is always a
tremendous responsibility. For them, war songs are not simply art, but part of
life.
"Of
course, we also feel these songs in our own way, but we cannot perceive them
exactly as they were felt by the people who lived at that time. That is
why it is important to perform them in a way that they enjoy and that brings
warmth to their hearts. And I really want these people to live as long as
possible, and to be cared for without fail," Valeria concluded warmly.
The
performance "Soldiers’ Dreams", created under the direction of
People’s Artist of Russia Yevgeny Glazov, became one of the largest in the
history of the National Centre RUSSIA. It featured People’s Artists of
Russia Lev Leshchenko, Ilya Reznik, Sergei Shakurov and Valeria, Honoured
Artists of Russia Yelena Vaenga and Varvara, popular performers of the new era
Klava Koka and Khabib, choirs and dance groups, drama actors, children’s
ensembles and a large costumed crowd scene.
