The guests of the Department Store will be able to discover the secrets of felting, try their hand at making valenki and, of course, choose the perfect warm pair. On February 16, the exposition will honor comfortable, practical and world-famous Russian footwear.

Modern valenki are not only classic felt boots. Masters can make cozy house slippers and even fashionable winter shoes in trendy styles. The guests will be able to get acquainted with the unique craft on the Russian Valenok Day. And the bravest ones will be able to try to put a valenok on the shoe-making last together with the master.

Production of self-felt valenki is very hard work, and the secret of producing perfect woolen shoes is passed from generation to generation. That is why today valenki are special shoes. They are created according to the customs of traditional crafts of the Russian people, without chemicals and artificial dyes, with the use of modern safe technologies and environmentally friendly material.

In the exposition's Department Store you can buy valenki from Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk and Mordovia. Hundreds of goods from various parts of Russia are also waiting for visitors: cosmetics, home goods, clothes and souvenirs, and even musical instruments.

Please be reminded that the Russian Valenok Day will be held in Pavilion 75, February 16, 2024 from 11:00 to 15:00 hours.
