Nine sports facilities in the regions were opened directly from the Exposition grounds
Sports
facilities from the Crimea to the Primorye region were opened in real time via
video-conferencing - including a 25-meter indoor swimming pool in Omsk, an
indoor training rink in the Primorye region, an indoor football arena in Tula,
and a sports complex with a swimming pool in the village of Pavlovskaya in the
Krasnodar region.
Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, Presidential Aide
Igor Levitin and Minister of Sport Oleg Matytsin took part in the opening
ceremony of the facilities created within the framework of the federal project
"Sport as a Way of Life". The facilities were launched during the
plenary session "Successes in the Development of Physical Culture and
Sports" held at the RUSSIA EXPO.
"A lot
has been done, and more is yet to come. We are moving towards new goals under
the leadership of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Fare thee well!"
- the Deputy Prime Minister said, declaring the facilities open.
"In
2024 we will complete the federal project "Sport is the Way of Life",
we see all indicators as achievable," the minister added.
An ice
arena in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region, was also opened, and two fitness and
health centers were opened in the town of Saki and the settlement of
Razdolnoye.
The head of the Republic of Ingushetia Mahmud-Ali Maksharipovich Kalimatov took part in the opening of a fitness and health center with a swimming pool in the town of Sunzha in the Republic of Ingushetia, and Governor Vladislav Shapsha took part in the opening of a modular fitness and health center in the town of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga region.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 7 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place at VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
