Lace balls and dolls in colorful national costumes, painted porcelain snowflakes and amber pendants. In the Department Store space at the RUSSIA EXPO you can find exclusive New Year tree decorations for an unforgettable holiday. We have collected the most unusual options.

In Russia, the tradition of decorating the Christmas tree dates back to the reign of Peter the Great. Today in our country, almost every family decorates a New Year fir tree. The process of preparing a coniferous tree for winter holidays can become really beautiful and exciting if the toys are special.

You can see a lot of dressed up trees in the Department Store. Perhaps the most unusual New Year tree is the one decorated in Tatar traditions. It has soft balls, leather goods, decorations imitating horse tails and even tyubeteika skullcaps. If you are not ready for such unusual decorations, you can choose one of the luxurious handmade dolls in a beautiful national costume.

It is impossible to pass by Orenburg balls. After all, New Year tree decorations do not necessarily have to be glass and fragile. Soft and cozy balls, decorated with lace, are just begging to be put in your hands and then on the New Year tree.

"My parents have very beautiful New Year decorations from Soviet times, a real treasure. Memories of how we all together decorated the New Year tree are my favorite from childhood. Now I want to continue this tradition with my children, and the toys have to be extraordinary, memorable, made with love. We brought some of them from our travels around the country, and now we can add to our collection here at the Exposition", — says Vera Milanova, a visitor of the Department Store.

Masters from the Komi Republic also presented their variation of Christmas tree balls. The balls made of wood are decorated with national ornaments. Komi patterns are a special cultural code, they reflect the traditions and history of the people, their love for nature and basic crafts.

Special and very beautiful decorations were presented by the Kaliningrad region. The region is the world’s main supplier of amber. Therefore, it is not surprising that Christmas tree toys are generously decorated with Baltic gold.

Voronezh toys will surely be appreciated by families with children, because there are dressed up dolls, painted matryoshka dolls and even rare cotton toys, created by the old technologies and painted by hand.

Craftsmen from the Moscow region prepared balls, snowflakes, figures of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka, New Year trees and the symbol of the year — the dragon. All of them are made in the Gzhel technique: blue patterns on a white background are ideal for New Year decorations.

For those who have been or dream of visiting Baikal in winter, the Irkutsk region has prepared a special gift — toys with the image of the great lake. Painted glass horsecars will be a great gift for yourself and your loved ones.
