Dmitry Milyaev to present the development strategy of the Tula region
The National Centre RUSSIA continues its series of meetings
with the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation
"Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps". Regional leaders
will describe both the priority steps toward a prosperous future and the
strategic tasks aimed at improving the quality of life of people.
On 17 September the priorities of the integrated development
of the Tula region will be presented by its head Dmitry Milyaev.
The strategy of socio-economic development of the region
affects 1.5 million people living in its territory. By increasing the potential
of the industrial sector, the agro-industrial complex and exports, the Tula
region is actively investing in the social sphere and youth policy — new jobs
are being created and programmes to support young specialists are being
implemented.
The Tula region, being a strategic supplier for the Russian
army, has become a leader in training personnel for the defence-industrial
complex of the whole country. The region’s advanced engineering school plays a
key role in this process. Dmitry Milyaev will present the developments showing
an effective bond between educational institutions (schools, colleges,
universities) and enterprises.
The governor of the Tula region will also share its
experience in supporting families with children. He will outline measures
introduced among the first in the country in the region, which contribute to
creating a comprehensive favourable environment for Tula families — from
playgrounds to safe and comfortable districts. Dmitry Milyaev will speak about
co-financing mechanisms actively used by the region for infrastructure
development.
An important direction of regional development is
modernisation of the healthcare system, implementation of programmes aimed at
increasing longevity, and creating modern sports infrastructure, including
establishing a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities. The Tula
region is among the leaders in developing adaptive sport. Implemented measures
include construction of modern outdoor facilities adapted for athletes with
disabilities, and opening a faculty specialising in training coaches for
adaptive sport. The governor of the region will announce further steps aimed at
popularising and developing mass sport.
The Tula region is one of the flagships in Russia in terms
of the total number of regional support measures for participants in the
special military operation (SMO) and their family members. Dmitry Milyaev will
talk about the assistance programmes operating in the region for servicemen and
the opportunities available to them after they complete their service in the
special military operation.
The honoured guests at the event include:
Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation;
Irina Guseva, Co-Chair of the All-Russian Association for
the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU), member of the Presidium of
the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development
of Local Self-Government;
Grigory Gurov, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs
(Rosmolodezh).
Meetings with heads of the constituent entities of the
Russian Federation are held as part of the large-scale regional programme of
the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100
Steps". Its implementation is carried out in accordance with Russia’s
national development goals set by the President, and is based on the principle
of prioritising the interests of each person, their self-realisation and
improving the quality of life.
On 16 September, the Days of the Tula Region began at the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Representatives of Madagascar will perform under number thirteen at the International Music Contest "Intervision".
