Until January 14, you can send a New Year’s letter to your loved ones at the National Centre RUSSIA
Exchanging
holiday postcards is a long-standing tradition that brings people together
across the country. The National Centre RUSSIA, in collaboration with Russian
Post, has launched the "New Year Russia: Dreaming Together" project,
allowing everyone to send a letter with warm wishes to loved ones — or even to
themselves for the future.
A special
mailbox for sending letters is located on the second floor of the National
Centre. New Year postcards are also available there. Wishes can be written and
sent to any part of the world until January 14, inclusive. The project has
already attracted visitors, who are enthusiastically sending messages to
different corners of our vast country.
"Several
of our postcards have been sent abroad — to India and Germany. I think the
geography will expand. People really love this project, and everyone is excited
to participate. Even children! Just now, kids from Chuvashia came by. Many were
shy, but in the end, they wrote their wishes because they wanted to bring joy
to their moms, dads, grandmothers, and grandfathers. Most children were signing
postcards for the first time, and they felt a little unsure, but we managed it together.
The wishes turned out very touching and kind," said Alexandra Iskhakova,
an employee of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations,
and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
The lecture "Russian Architecture in the Global Context" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 30.
On May 30, the declaration on the establishment of the International Association of Children's Organisations (IACO) was signed at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The workshop "Apartment Planning Through a Child’s Eyes" took place on May 30 as part of the educational programme of "The Birth of Scale" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
