American economist, professor, and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Columbia University Jeffrey Sachs will serve as an expert at the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" at the National Centre RUSSIA.

The international project Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA from April 28 to 30, 2025. It will bring together experts from leading global think tanks, development institutions, academia, government bodies, business associations, youth organizations, the scientific community, and media. Participants of the Open Dialogue will develop unified approaches to ensuring global economic growth. Authors of the best essays from 42 countries, selected by the expert council of the National Centre RUSSIA, will also join the event.

The program of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" is published on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA and is available to the public in Russian, English, Chinese, Arabic, and Portuguese.

Over the course of three days, discussions at the National Centre RUSSIA will focus on four key directions of global economic development:

— "Investments in Human Capital";

— "Investments in Technology";

— "Investments in Connectivity";

— "Investments in Environment".

On the first day, April 28, preliminary pitch sessions will take place among essayists, organized as working groups based on the four thematic areas. On April 29, as part of the "Presentation of the Future of the World," top-level global experts will address the participants, followed by a series of panel pitching sessions featuring the best essay authors and expert speakers.

Jeffrey Sachs will take part in a series of pitching sessions on April 29 and 30. The international expert in the field of international relations will listen to and provide feedback to the authors of essays participating on the second day of the event.

The final session of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" will take place on April 30. The event will be moderated by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin. The outcomes of the previous days’ work with the best essayists, top speakers, and international experts will be summarised.

Following the results of the Open Dialogue, a report will be prepared and presented to the participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2025.

Events on the first and second days of the Open Dialogue are open to all those who have completed preliminary registration on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the "Open Dialogue" section.

To participate in the Open Dialogue and learn firsthand about economic development trends, one must register on the website by April 24.
