Representatives of business and government discussed the new national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of States" at the RUSSIA EXPO. Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev noted that the objectives of the new national project are specified in the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on national development goals — their number has increased from four in the previous version of the decree to eleven.

In addition, according to the new national project, the Ministry of Digital Development should ensure the creation of a modern HR-platform for the entire system of state and municipal service, which will allow a more effective selection of candidates for work in the government. Also, "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" implies the development of digital interaction of citizens with government services.

As a result of the implementation of a set of measures, the share of citizens who are satisfied with the work of state and municipal employees, employees of social sphere institutions should increase by half, the Minister said. Taken together, the changes that the national project will bring about will make it possible to achieve the formation and digital maturity of key sectors of the economy.

Experts and representatives of the industry spoke about the plans for the development of digital technologies within the framework of the new national project. In particular, it is assumed that high-speed mobile Internet will become more accessible by 2030. In addition, the share of domestic digital technologies in the market will increase — both in terms of online services and equipment. Public services will also be further developed — for example, it is planned to make it possible to issue and withdraw consent to the transfer and processing of personal data in the personal account on State Services (Gosuslugi), to transfer payment for housing and utilities services online as much as possible, and many other projects. Special attention will be paid to the support of new developments and the system of personnel training for the IT-industry, anti-fraud systems and data protection, as well as artificial intelligence.

The plenary session was moderated by Sergei Plugotarenko, CEO of the ANO "Digital Economy". The session was also attended by Dmitry Ugnivenko, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Economy, Andrei Zarenin, Oleg Kachanov, Sergei Kuchushev and Alexander Shoitov, Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ekaterina Solntseva, Director of Digitalization at Rosatom State Corporation, and representatives of the IT business.
