"Experience economy": the National Centre RUSSIA invites to the Open Dialogue
On 7
October, as part of the Open Dialogue, an expert session "New Economy:
Competition for Positive Development" will take place. Speakers from
Russia, China, Colombia, Ethiopia and Thailand will discuss new values and
meanings in the context of global economic competition. Sergei Ivanov,
Executive Director and Member of the Board of Directors of EFKO Group, invited
potential guests and participants to the event and outlined the key theme of
the discussions.
"On 7
October I will take part in the Open Dialogue, which will be moderated by Maxim
Oreshkin. We will talk about the experience economy: how experiences affect us,
what they mean, what emotions are. I will try to explain what we in our company
think about this, how we integrate these insights into branding and marketing,
and what kinds of experiences can help us create. I will also speak about the
red lines that should not be crossed, because experiences and emotions can be
destructive as well. I look forward to seeing you there," said Sergei
Ivanov.
The first
Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global
Growth", aimed at creating a discussion platform on the future of the
global economy, took place at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow from 28 to
30 April. The Open Dialogue received almost 700 essays from 102 countries. The
authors included representatives of science, business, government bodies, as
well as youth and expert communities. The topic that attracted the greatest
interest was "Investments in Human Capital" (41%), followed by
"Investments in Connectivity" (24%), "Investments in
Technology" (22%) and "Investments in Environment" (13%).
Earlier
Sergei Ivanov noted that the number of essays submitted to the Open Dialogue
reflects the emergence of a global trend towards intellectual engagement.
"The
essay format is, after all, an intellectual undertaking, and I thought that
perhaps the Open Dialogue would receive a maximum of 50–100 works. But it was a
revelation to me how people in different parts of the world responded to this
idea. I think it has become a kind of request for a different, more
intellectual form of interaction," emphasised Sergei Ivanov.
The
recording of the Open Dialogue expert session in Vladivostok is available on
the website russia.ru and on the official social media accounts of the National
Centre RUSSIA.
