Open Dialogue essayist to present new disease prevention system at the National Centre RUSSIA
How can we stop spending resources on treating diseases and instead develop a prevention system? Anna Krayevskaya, a Bachelor’s student at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, will discuss this at the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth". The event will be held from 27 to 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Trillions are spent on treating conditions that could have been prevented. Genomic science already knows who is at risk, and what needs to be done and when. Only one thing is missing: a system to bring this knowledge to every individual — not after years of waiting, but right now. I am convinced that a genetic passport is not just a technology. It is a new way of thinking about health — not chasing diseases, but staying ahead of them," said Yekaterina Krayevskaya.
The event at the National Centre RUSSIA will bring together participants from all continents to discuss key global development trends. This year, 104 authors from 43 countries have reached the in-person stage of the Open Dialogue following their interviews. The extensive three-day programme will combine expert discussions, presentations by the authors of the best essays from around the world, and informal networking.
The initiative is implemented by the National Centre RUSSIA in partnership with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third Rome" and with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia. Registration for the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" is open until 26 April.
The symbol of the National Centre RUSSIA in Ryazan will be the griffin-phoenix — a mythical creature combining the imagery of two legendary beings.
