"It’s a true gem": audience shared emotions from the concert "Ode to a Woman Through the Ages"
The
multi-genre musical program brought together over 1,500 spectators at the
National Centre RUSSIA on International Women's Day. Guests enjoyed
performances by artists from various genres. The fusion of classical music and
beatboxing left no one indifferent.
"I
really enjoyed the wonderful concert at the National Centre RUSSIA. My wife,
son, and I attended together and had a great time — thank you very much. The
blend of beatboxing and classical music is simply a treasure. That's the main
reason I came to see it," shared theater and film actor Maxim Klestov.
"A
grand-scale show took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. I could not have
imagined such a centre that embodies a national idea — I’m here for the first
time. The technical setup and organization of the centre speak to its high
quality. I wish the National Centre even more spectators and more events of
this level," emphasized the President of the Guild of Producers and
Organizers of Film Production of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, Philipp
Kudryashov.
"We
witnessed a full house today. It is truly heartwarming to see how classical
art, especially opera singing, attracts so many people. At times, the
combination of modern DJ performance with opera vocals was truly unexpected. It
was something new and creative. Judging by the audience's reaction, they really
enjoyed it. It was a fantastic way to celebrate today's occasion," said
pianist and violinist Maria Andreyeva.
Young
listeners of the concert program "Ode to a Woman Through the Ages" particularly
noted the performance of world beatboxing champion Vakhtang.
"What
surprised me the most was how Vakhtang played his role. He did different vocal
tricks. And that’s the most astonishing part—no one else can do it, but he can.
I really liked the fusion of modern and Soviet music. The fact that they took
Soviet music, the DJ altered it, and it turned into contemporary music was
amazing," shared 10-year-old audience member Maria Sheremeteva.
The concert
program "Ode to a Woman Through the Ages" featured performances by
the vocal ensemble Ariel, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, soloists of the
Bolshoi Theatre and the Mariinsky Theatre, folk DJ Arif, the Folk Dance
Ensemble of the Moscow Regional College of Arts, and many other artists.
