Roman Kostomarov, Evgeni Plushenko and Alexei Yagudin to open a new exposition of the Alley of Glory at VDNH
The Alley
of Glory, dedicated to famous Russian athletes and their achievements, will be
enriched with an exposition on winter sports: skiing, biathlon, freestyle, ski
jumping, snowboarding, speed skating, figure skating and curling.
Figure
skating stars Evgeni Plushenko and Alexei Yagudin are expected to take part in
the opening ceremony.
The Alleyof Glory is arranged by the "Knowledge" Society with the support of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Martial Arts. Here you can see real gold medals that our compatriots won at international competitions.
Earlier, the opening ceremony of the exposition dedicated to martial arts and combat sports was held here. Alexander Karelin, Buvaisar Saitiev, Oleg Saitov, Vladislav Larin, Tagir Khaibulaev, Evgeny Mamro, Edgar Kolyan, Daria Tarasova, Islam Bochkaev, Andrey Kress, Olesya Gladkova, Artyom Vakhitov, Artyom Osipenko, Alan Karaev, Alexander Drozd visited the opening ceremony of the Alley of Glory to personally lay their main awards in the exposition.
Francisco Tuñez, a semi-finalist of the II Open Dialogue, twice referred to Russia as "Mother", thanking our country for its warm hospitality.
The Russian leader noted that the ideas born at the Open Dialogue will continue to spread and will ultimately lead to real change.
On the first day, idea pitching sessions were held across four vectors: "Investment in people", "Investment in connectivity", "Investment in technology", and "Investment in the environment".
