Dumpling Festival, holiday in Tchaikovsky's estate and unique wooden architecture: Udmurtia at the RUSSIA EXPO
Udmurtia is an amazing place where cultures intersect, where natural monuments and modern cultural and entertainment complexes harmoniously coexist side by side. The capital of Udmurtia is home to the largest artificial water reservoir in Europe - the Izhevsk Pond covers 24 square kilometers.
At the stand of the Republic at the RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion 75 you will be able to ride an IZh motorcycle, assemble a Kalashnikov assault rifle on the touch screen, assemble national patterns, measure your height with the legendary Mozhga ruler, and also learn phrases in the Udmurt language and guess Tchaikovsky's melody.
The Republic presented the whole flavor of the region at the stand: from the leading enterprises to the most unique tourist destinations, from international music and gastronomic festivals to health resorts and ski resorts.
World Dumpling Day, the "Day with Tchaikovsky" festival in the museum-estate of the composer, the Udmurt national holiday "Gerber", the festival of national cuisine "Byg-Byg", the festival of rock music, youth culture - in Udmurtia there is entertainment for every taste and at any time of the year.
There is also an architectural and ethnographic museum-reserve "Ludorvay" - a unique complex of historically formed and artificial landscape, where monuments of folk wooden architecture are gathered.
Sergei Melikov emphasised that the Government of Russia provides systemic support to the republic in implementing the large-scale Caspian Coastal Cluster project.
The central event of the festival will be an exposition of 59 prototypes of games and toys developed by the contestants in five thematic areas.
