The final of the "Far East — Land of Adventures" competition will take place on March 5 at the National Centre RUSSIA
On March 5 at 12:00, the winners of the II season of the "Far East — Land of Adventures" competition will be announced at the National Centre RUSSIA. The winners of the best video works will be revealed and awarded during the official ceremony.
The competition aims to popularize the Far East as a unique travel destination. Participants create videos about their trips, inspiring others to follow their routes. These videos prove that anyone, regardless of age or physical condition, can experience the beauty of the region.
The contest has been held since 2022 on the initiative of Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District. The entries were evaluated in three categories. The "Hiking Journey" category included videos about hiking and cycling routes in the wilderness. The "Water Journey" category featured river rafting, sea and underwater trips, and surfing. The "Winter Journey" category covered ski trips, dog sledding, winter cycling routes, and snowboarding. One of the key conditions for travelers was to avoid using motorized transport on the route.
The winner in each category will receive 1 million rubles. The second place prize is 300 thousand rubles, and the third place prize is 100 thousand rubles. The grand prize of 3 million rubles will go to the author of the film about traveling in the Far East who scores the most points from the jury.
Applications were accepted from May 1 to December 30, 2024. A total of 664 films were submitted, three times more than in the first season. The largest number of works were submitted in the "Hiking Journey" category — 444. There were 128 videos dedicated to water routes and 92 to winter journeys. The most videos were filmed in the Sakhalin region (142 works), the Khabarovsk region (112), and the Kamchatka region (110). The submissions came not only from residents of the 11 Far Eastern regions but also from authors from 20 other regions of Russia. To attend the award ceremony, registration must be completed via the link.
