Finance is definitely not boring: Irina Okladnikova met with schoolchildren and students as part of the "Class Meetings" project

In the "Space of Opportunities" at the National Centre RUSSIA, a "Class Meeting" was held with First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Irina Okladnikova. Activists of the Movement of the First and students of RANEPA talked with the guest about choosing a profession and a career path. Irina Okladnikova shared that in her life the decisive role was played by an interest in exact sciences and self-confidence.

Participants were particularly interested in questions about qualities that help to build a successful career and how to overcome professional difficulties. According to the speaker, responsibility, the ability to work in a team, and readiness for continuous development remain key.

The students were also concerned about the role of the Ministry of Finance in the lives of citizens. Irina Okladnikova explained that the work of the ministry literally affects everyone — from financing the social sphere to ensuring economic stability.

"Behind each of the 12 million lines in the budget stand people, enterprises and a specific type of state support," stressed the Deputy Minister.

Career opportunities also did not go unnoticed. The Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Finance values young specialists with a strong knowledge base and an active life position, and that one can enter the ministry through internships and recruitment programmes.

At the end of the meeting, participants talked about personal matters: how to find time for rest, what books inspire them and what success means. The atmosphere of the dialogue was trusting, and the young participants received not only answers to their questions but also motivation for building their own future.
