International RUSSIA EXPO flag was unfurled on the ISS
10.19.2023

The flag of the RUSSIA EXPO was unfurled on the International Space Station. It was delivered to the orbit by Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub aboard the most advanced Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft. The flag will stay with the cosmonauts on the ISS for the entire duration of the mission.

The ship was sent into space by a carrier rocket with the exposition’s logo on it. "Here, in orbit, we always remember how big our country is, what courageous and strong-spirited people live in it, how many riches are stored in the depths of our soil, seas and forests", — said Roscosmos test cosmonaut Nikolai Chub.

"Thanks to our joint labor, much has been done in recent years for the development and prosperity of our country, so that every resident of Russia always feels that his life is improving, that he can be proud of the achievements of his country, his region, his small homeland", — the cosmonauts reminded.

Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub will stay at the International Space Station for one year. They are expected to return to Earth on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft in September 2024.

Earlier, the flag of RUSSIA EXPO was unfurled by the team of the "Caucasus.RF" Development Institute on the highest peak of Russia and Europe — Elbrus. On October 13, the group made an ascent to the Western peak of Elbrus. At the altitude of 5642 meters, Ruslan Guliyev, Alexei Vodolazkin and Konstantin Kukushkin unfurled the flag of the exposition to invite all residents of the country to come to VDNH on November 4.
