The "Dialogue about Fakes 4.0" Forum will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA on 22 September, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from 80 countries. International experts, government officials, media representatives and members of the business community will discuss ways to counter misinformation and exchange best practices and approaches in this area. Delegates are expected from the United States, China, Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Singapore, Pakistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Belgium, Tanzania, Togo, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.

The "Dialogue about Fakes" Forum has been held annually in Moscow since 2023. It has become one of the world's largest platforms dedicated to countering misinformation. In 2025, the forum was held under the auspices of UNESCO's Global Media and Information Literacy Week.

The key topics of the 2026 forum will include the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and countering attempts to spread disinformation during the electoral process; the impact of misinformation on various spheres of society, including politics, the economy and business; and current trends in the development of artificial intelligence and its use in art. A separate discussion will focus on fraud targeting minors and the involvement of teenagers in cybercrime and other offences through the internet.

The forum will also present the findings of research conducted by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation "Dialogue Regions" into fraud targeting children and trends in children's use of AI tools.

Speakers will include representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cybercrime Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Bank of Russia, as well as international experts in investigative journalism and fact-checking, representatives of major technology companies and other relevant organisations.

The event is organised by the ANO "Dialogue Regions" with the participation of the Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN), an international association dedicated to countering misinformation. Its co-founders include the TASS news agency and the New Media Workshop. The GFCN currently comprises 126 experts from 54 countries.
