Forum of agricultural producers at the National Centre RUSSIA: support measures and new initiatives for the agro-industrial sector
The III National Forum of Agricultural Producers took place
at the National Centre RUSSIA. As part of the event, the strategic session titled "The Russian Rural Area — A Space of Opportunity" was held.
Representatives of government bodies, regions, support institutions, and rural
residents discussed how life in the countryside is changing today and what new
opportunities are emerging for farmers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and young
professionals.
The strategic session was moderated by First Deputy Chairman
of the Federation Council Andrei Yatskin. He noted that the state pays the
closest attention to issues related to agricultural development. According to
him, many of the proposals voiced at the Forum of Rural Workers will become
real projects.
"We are grateful to be holding the strategic session
'The Russian Rural Area: A Space of Opportunity' here at the National Centre RUSSIA.
All the speakers confirmed the idea, the slogan that gave its name to the
session. And it is supported not by words, but by actions, by implemented
projects in the Lipetsk Region and other parts of the country, showing that
individual farmers can turn to support institutions — Rosselkhozbank (Russian
Agricultural Bank), Rosagroleasing (Russian Agrarian Leasing), the Ministry of
Agriculture, and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The package
of support measures developed by the state exists, and it is sufficient,"
said Andrei Yatskin.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Ksenia Shevelkina
spoke about federal projects in the agro-industrial sector and their
implementation. Director General of Rosagroleasing Pavel Kosov discussed the development
of a programme to create a network of machine and technology companies (MTCs).
These companies will provide services to agricultural producers, help reduce
crop losses, and improve energy efficiency. Deputy Chairman at the Management
Board of Rosselkhozbank, Denis Konstantinov, informed participants about the
bank's projects in the agro-industrial sector.
The event was also attended by Chair of the Federation
Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management
Alexander Dvoinykh, senators, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian
Federation Viktor Fisenko, Chair of the Council of the People's Farmer
Association Oleg Sirota, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and
agencies, rural territories, and farmers.
The III National Forum of Agricultural Producers opened with
a performance by Mia Boyka. The popular Russian singer performed a modern
arrangement of an anthem dedicated to field and farm workers, moving guests
from the very first notes.
"It is a great honour for me to be here today. I come
from a large family and from a village where I spent the first 18 years of my
life. That is why I know what it means to be a rural worker. I watched your
colleagues, and I myself was connected to this work. Every day you wake up
before everyone else and go to sleep later than everyone else. Thank you for
the tremendous work you do for our country," shared Mia Boyka.
As part of the third Forum of Agricultural Producers, a
large-scale educational project was held, bringing together all regions of the
country — the All-Russian Agro-Dictation. Senators of the Russian Federation,
forum participants, and anyone wishing to join online took part.
As noted by the head of the profile Federation Council
Committee, Alexander Dvoinykh, the Agro-Dictation aims to tell citizens about
the people who ensure Russia's food security and feed the country, while also
demonstrating the prospects for the development of the domestic agro-industrial
sector.
An awards ceremony for the winners of the "Rural
Postman" contest also took place that day. This year, the competition
received more than 3,000 applications, with 86 participants reaching the final
stage.
The forum will also host the opening of the XII Festival of
Orthodox Culture and Traditions of Small Towns and Rural Settlements of Rus
"Sophia". The festival will commence with the gala concert
"Unity. Heritage. Russia", featuring People's Artist of Russia
Nadezhda Babkina and the Moscow State Academic Theatre "Russian
Song".
Following the forum, a resolution containing specific
proposals, implementation deadlines, and responsible parties will be prepared.
More than 1,500 delegates from all regions of the country
took part in the event. The Organiser of the forum was the Federation Council,
with Rosselkhozbank serving as the general partner.
