Footballer Boris Nikonorov: "When we are united and care about our Motherland, we cannot be broken"

The main strength of Russia lies in the unity of its peoples. When people of different backgrounds are united by shared values and a common cause, they become impossible to break. This was stated at the National Centre RUSSIA by football player Boris Nikonorov.

"I am convinced that people must always remain united — everywhere and at all times. There is a phrase that may sound overused and commonplace, but still it exists not without a reason: 'when we are united, we are invincible.' What it states is absolutely true. Individually, we can be broken, 'snapped one by one.' But try breaking ten arrows at once. One arrow will be easy to break, but ten together will not. The same applies to people," Boris Nikonorov shared.

According to the athlete, the unity of peoples is not only about the support of comradeship, but also about a shared goal connected to the future of the country: "When we stand together, when we are united by one common purpose — for the good of our Motherland, for the good of our Fatherland — we can never be broken. We will always find the strength to move forward and achieve victory. For me, unity means responsibility for one another and for our country."

President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced the opening of the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia at the National Centre RUSSIA during the "Russia — Family of Families" educational marathon. This large-scale event brought together more than four thousand people, including representatives of over 190 ethnic groups of the country, schoolchildren, students, and international guests.
