Among them is Vladimir Sharpatov - Hero of Russia, civil aviation pilot, who spent a year in captivity near the city of Kandahar in Afghanistan and in 1996 together with the crew of his plane made an escape.
Vladimir Sharpatov is a true patriot. He always speaks about his homeland with love. But the city where he lived for many years and worked on international routes is especially dear to him.
