The Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic congratulated students at the National Centre RUSSIA and spoke about the role of education in the region’s reunification with Russia
On 23 January, on the sidelines of the Znanie.State forum at the National Centre RUSSIA, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, noted that education became one of the key factors in the successful reunification of Donbas with Russia. In his address, he also congratulated young forum participants on the upcoming Russian Students Day.
"It can be said that we began our return home through the education system. We legalised education, and this became a major milestone for us. Our universities passed accreditation, and active cooperation with universities across the country is now under way, with many joint programmes being implemented," Denis Pushilin said.
On the eve of Russian Students Day, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic congratulated young people on the holiday.
"Student life is your time. Be bold, and do not be afraid to dream," Denis Pushilin addressed the young participants.
The Government of the Donetsk People’s Republic has long been a partner of the National Centre RUSSIA, including in the implementation of youth initiatives. In particular, in the summer of 2025 the National Centre RUSSIA supported the idea of holding an Architectural Hackathon — a large-scale creative laboratory in which students and early-career architects from across the country developed projects for new public spaces in Donbas. The event brought together young participants from the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, and other Russian cities.
On Russian Students Day, 25 January, the National Centre RUSSIA prepared a rich cultural and educational programme for young people. The central event will be the All-Russian Students Day, organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia with the participation of the Russian society Znanie, Rosmolodezh, and the All-Russian student project "Your Move". Participants will be offered lectures and master classes delivered by entrepreneurs, scientists, representatives of major Russian companies, and other experts.
Ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March, the National Centre RUSSIA invites guests to a special meeting dedicated to women’s health, beauty and culinary traditions.
Public voting has begun for the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Award "Service", where citizens across the country will help determine the best municipal practices.
