Regional pride: what to expect from the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Krasnoyarsk
The concept
of the future branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, which will open in the
region on 15 December, was presented during the Forum "Russian Creative
Week — Siberia". The details were shared by Head of the Directorate for
Social Communications and Regional Engagement of the National Centre RUSSIA
Irina Tesleva, along with other participants of the discussion.
"The
National Centre RUSSIA is not an exposition, not a museum, not something
temporary or momentary. It is a space built on a particular principle. It is an
ideology filled with meaning, designed primarily for the residents of the
region where the National Centre RUSSIA opens," said Irina Tesleva. "Our
task is to ensure that people not only see and hear, but also truly feel their
sense of belonging. Above all, we are speaking about the future, about the
generation that will live and work in this country in 20, 40 or 50 years. It is
important for them to understand the trajectory of their development and to
feel proud of our country — of what it is now and what it will become."
Deputy Head
of the Administration of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Yulia Filatova
spoke about how the concept of the branch will be implemented in Krasnoyarsk.
The building on the Central Embankment will house the permanent exposition
"Energy of the Region — Energy of the People", a new city theatre
stage, and a children’s technopark. In addition, a concert venue and viewing platform
will be built on the accessible rooftop. She
emphasised the importance of the future National Centre RUSSIA for the region’s
creative economy.
"National
centres are an enormous field of opportunities for creative entrepreneurship:
the development of IT products, the production of photo and video content and
much more. The centre now being created in Krasnoyarsk has become a catalyst
for the development of creative industries. We wanted very much to preserve the
logic of supporting local entrepreneurs, which is why the teams creating the
National Centre RUSSIA are precisely the teams of the Krasnoyarsk region. It is
important to speak openly about the relationship between such a space and a
major government contract, because if the trend of opening regional branches
continues, it will become a driver of local entrepreneurship. If regional teams
are ready not to outsource such projects to other cities, but to deliver them
with their own resources, everyone will benefit," she said.
Yulia
Filatova added that the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region will
become a place that unites people, teams, and ideas.
The impact
of the National Centre RUSSIA on shaping a new perception of the country was
highlighted by Creative Director of the Andrei Melnichenko Charitable
Foundation Vladimir Chesnokov: "With the opening of the National Centre
RUSSIA, the country received a new standard of storytelling about everything
that makes Russia remarkable — and now this is accessible to everyone. I would
like the branch of the National Centre in Krasnoyarsk to become a place where
people make decisions about their future. Children come and realise that they
want to build their future with Russia, with the Krasnoyarsk region, with
industrial professions, with meaningful and truly important trades."
The
Department Store RUSSIA became a separate topic of discussion among
participants. They concluded that this space would evoke admiration and pride
among visitors of the branch for domestic goods and the work of Russian artisans.
The
National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region will open in mid–December and
will become a focal point for residents and visitors of the city, as well as a
source of regional pride.
These questions were discussed by participants of the plenary session "Digital Transformation of Regions: Achievements and Challenges".
The premiere screening of Olga Kaledina’s documentary film "Reunion of the Heroes of the Special Military Operation" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on 16 November.
Once, the trend towards client-centricity was set by business, but in recent years this has also become characteristic of the state.
