The International RUSSIA EXPO has already become a major event in the social life of the country, with more than one million visitors in less than three weeks.

Experts note the accessible and understandable format of the event, which allows each visitor to find something of personal interest at VDNH.

"The International RUSSIA EXPO allows you to see our country in all its diversity on the local territory of VDNH. Participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history and culture of Russia, to see the specifics of different regions, to get in touch with the achievements of science and technology, to experience a sense of pride for their country and realize their involvement in its destiny", — emphasized the factors that make the RUSSIA EXPO a truly popular event Antonina Selezneva, Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University.

"The popularity of the regional stands at the RUSSIA EXPO is of the same nature as the surge in domestic tourism, including weekend tourism. People get reacquainted with their country, find it interesting and informative for themselves and their children, and are surprised by its size and diversity", — Sergei Starovoitov, Director of the Club of Regions federal expert network, noted another reason for the exposition popularity.

In addition to accessibility, another factor influencing the popularity of the event is the broad content of the exposition.

The Days of the Far Eastern regions have already taken place, the week of Siberian regions ends on November 21, the Days of six more federal districts and new regions are waiting for visitors. Until April 12, guests of VDNH will have an opportunity to visit the stands of all 89 regions of Russia.

Each region has tried to emphasize its peculiarities and achievements in the stand concept: the stand of Kamchatka in an interactive form introduces the nature of the region with volcanoes, geysers, and the ocean. The Khabarovsk region presented itself as the homeland of whales and airplanes.

At the stand of the Novosibirsk region guests were greeted by a robotic dog developed at NSU, and the exposition of the Kemerovo region gives an opportunity to visit Kuzbass of different historical periods: from the age of dinosaurs to Sheregesh of the future.

The stands of all regions showcase both achievements and plans for future development.

"Marveling at the wealth of the country, visitors to the exposition begin to feel a sense of pride for their Motherland. They learn about Russia’s opportunities not from slogans, but with their own eyes. Another attractive point is the demonstration of the country’s future. It is as if the visitors find themselves inside the "image of the future", which logically stems from the current potential of the regions", — says Sergey Starovoitov.

Each exposition forms a comprehensive impression of the region, which ultimately adds up to a single puzzle of Russia’s development: "The exposition substantially links the past, present and future of the country, which is extremely important for the formation of the all-Russian identity", — said Antonina Selezneva.

There are many young people among the visitors of the exposition, who can get acquainted with the key federal projects aimed at realizing the potential of young Russians.

"Visiting the RUSSIA EXPO is not just about static viewing of the exposition, but also about taking part in different activities and events that are important for young people and are created for young people. I think that the final number of visitors to the expositions will be impressive, and the share of young people will only increase, thanks to the rich program and well thought-out interactive formats. It is important that the conceptual content of the exposition is also emphasized. All activities and interactive content are linked to the values and traditions of our country, historical memory. And passing these value concepts to the younger generation is one of the most important tasks of the exposition", — said Evgeny Kislyakov, political scientist, member of the Digoria Expert Club.
