"Pride in our architects": visitor reviews of "The Birth of Scale"
The exposition "The Birth of Scale" continues to run at the National Centre RUSSIA, showcasing the evolution of architectural styles in our country.
Every day, the exposition welcomes numerous visitors, some of whom share their impressions in the guestbook.
"I would like to thank the National Centre RUSSIA for the warm welcome. I came to the exposition with my one-year-old daughter. At the entrance, volunteers greeted us, assisted us, and explained where to go. We were given a private tour. The guide, Maria Vladimirovna, captivated both me and my daughter with her storytelling. Everything was well-structured, explained in simple language, and you could feel the guide's experience and engagement. I learned new facts and filled in gaps in my knowledge about our country's architecture. I feel proud of our specialists — their ideas and concepts are truly unique," noted Irina Medvedeva.
Visitors also highlight certain objects that captured their interest the most.
"The exposition is wonderful. Architect Andrei Kosinsky's project of the national bathhouse 'Hammam' touched my heart. It's a real marvel! I learned a lot of new things. Many thanks to the architects and the organizing team," shared one of the guests of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Participants of the "Moscow Through the Eyes of a Journalist" program within the "Moscow Longevity" project also visited the exposition and were deeply impressed.
"'The Birth of Scale' is a place where one can trace the development of Russian architecture. We saw models of structures we had discussed in our sessions and learned detailed histories of their construction. The exposition also features models of unrealized projects that nonetheless influenced the architectural landscape of our city. A special thanks to the tour guides — they explained everything in a clear, thorough, and engaging manner, highlighting notable exhibits with humor," shared one of the participants of the "Moscow Longevity" project.
"The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA presents both completed architectural projects and ideas that remained only as concepts. The exposition includes unique building models, blueprints, and layouts preserved in museums and private collections. Admission is free for all visitors. Tour registration is available on the website russia.ru.
Partners of "The Birth of Scale" exposition include DOM.RF, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Gazprom, the State Research Museum of Architecture named after A.V. Shchusev, the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Yakov Chernikhov Architectural Charity Foundation, and the HSE School of Design.
The third lecture in the series of seven educational events at the National Centre RUSSIA will be "Expositional Russia".
