Guests of the Udmurt stand at the exposition will be met by "Buranovskiye Babushki"
Only 31 days are left till the opening of the International RUSSIA EXPO. Today it became known what the stand of the Udmurt Republic will look like.
Famous natives of the Republic — Olympic medalist Maxim Vylegzhanin and the famous "Buranovskiye Babushki" ("Buranovo Grannies") — will greet the visitors to the exposition. The guests will hear a real Udmurt greeting — "Jechbur!" — and get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage and modern life of the region.
The immersion will be complete: for example, those who wish will be able to measure their height with a "Mozhga" ruler, which is known to all Russian schoolchildren. Besides, it will be possible to sit on the legendary motorcycle "Izh".
As a reminder, the International RUSSIA EXPO will be held in Moscow on the territory of the VDNH. It will open on November 4 this year and will last until April 12, 2024. It will be attended by all Russian regions, as well as authorities, public organizations, major corporations and representatives of foreign countries.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
