Guests of the "Maslenitsa. Time of Traditions" concert at the National Centre RUSSIA shared their emotions
On the final day of Maslenitsa Week, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the multi-genre concert "Maslenitsa. Time of Traditions." Audience members shared their impressions of the event.
"Thank you for a magnificent concert, carefully thought out in every detail — from the visual effects and costumes to the songs and the warmth you bring to your guests. Every time you come to a concert at the National Centre, you completely forget where you are, and each time feels too short — you always want more," said audience member Tatyana.
Folk songs, dances, traditional costumes, lyrical romances, and opera pieces, accompanied by a choir, symphony orchestra, and modern beats, were appreciated by both adults and young guests of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"What impressed me the most was when they sang songs, and we could join in karaoke-style with the performers. I especially loved the songs from 'Prostokvashino' and 'The Bremen Town Musicians.' My favorite character was the Bear — he looked amazing. I want to tell my friends: stop staring at your gadgets and come here! You won't find anything as beautiful in your gadgets as this concert," urged 11-year-old Stepan.
The "Maslenitsa. Time of Traditions" concert became not only a vibrant cultural event for the whole family but also a reminder of the importance of preserving national legacy, guests noted.
"I came to this event with my family — my mom, dad, grandmother, sister, and grandfather. In my opinion, attending such events is important because it fosters patriotism. It's quite fascinating to see national songs and dances performed in a more modern style, incorporating contemporary trends. And I was especially impressed by the DJ — his stylish look, combining a traditional costume with headphones, was really cool," shared student Arina.
The first part of the concert recreated the atmosphere of festive Maslenitsa celebrations, featuring traditional folk songs and winter games. The second transported the audience into a cozy living room setting, where performers sang lyrical romances by the fireplace. The final segment was dedicated to songs from the Soviet era.
"The festive and beautiful atmosphere of the concert truly impressed us. The incredible voices, songs, and dances — everything was simply magnificent! The soloists of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theaters were outstanding, once again proving their immense talent. We are absolutely thrilled! Our whole family had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed this special evening together," shared Yevgenia.
The multi-genre concert featured performances by Bolshoi Theater soloists Guzel Sharipova and Ksenia Dezhneva, Mariinsky Theater soloists Natalia Pavlova, Andrei Serov, and Alexander Trofimov, world beatbox champion Vakhtang, folk DJ Arif, the vocal ensemble Ariel, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, and the folk dance ensemble Paraskeva.
