"State textbooks will help graduates get prepared better for the Unified State Exam": Sergey Kravtsov especially for the National Centre RUSSIA
Unified state textbooks, being a part of the school curriculum, will allow graduates to get prepared better for the Basic and Unified State Exams. Such a statement was made by Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, to the press service of the National Centre RUSSIA within the framework of the first All-Russian Pedagogical Congress in modern history.
The All-Russian Pedagogical Congress, held at the platform of the National Centre RUSSIA, brought together 1,300 delegates: educators from all regions of the country, researchers from the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Sciences, deputies of the State Duma and senators, representatives of executive authorities, public organizations and business. The programme of the event included plenary speeches and discussions of the Education Development Strategy until 2036, presentations of the best practices developed by schools and universities, and an exposition of achievements of the educational industry.
Speaking about the changes in the education system, Sergey Kravtsov noted the introduction of unified state textbooks designed to change the existing approach.
"Just imagine, we had 100 various mathematics textbooks. Or 54 kinds of history textbooks. This is official data, it is the open information. What kind of unified educational space could we talk about? This is largely why graduates are having problems with the Unified State Exam and the Main State Exam: they are taught according to one textbook, and at the exam, they are asked absolutely different things. Plus — the quality of the textbook content. The state textbook is a single one, its content is fully verified, it is checked at the Unified State Exam, and corresponds to the federal programme. The copyright regarding the state textbook belongs to the state, not to commercial bodies," Sergey Kravtsov emphasized.
As it was previously reported by the National Centre RUSSIA, during a meeting of the Council on Language Policy, Presidential Adviser Elena Yampolskaya presented Vladimir Putin with a proof copy of a new alphabet book. She also stated the need to organize special platforms for learning the Russian language, including the site of the National Centre RUSSIA. The Head of state supported the idea of organizing multifunctional spaces dedicated to the Russian language at the National Centre RUSSIA and its regional branches. The first such space will open in autumn in Vladivostok.
The All-Russian Pedagogical Congress has become a landmark event for the country's education system. Organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the support of the National Centre RUSSIA, this forum has become a platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and development of strategic solutions.
