Governor of the Kamchatka region Vladimir Solodov: the path to travelling across the country begins at the National Centre RUSSIA
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition inspires
visitors to embark on new adventures across our country. The exposition was
visited by the Governor of the Kamchatka region, Vladimir Solodov, who shared
his impressions with the Press Office of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"The National Centre RUSSIA is truly an outstanding
initiative. It is a logical continuation of the RUSSIA EXPO, which enjoyed
immense popularity. Now any citizen, right in the heart of the capital, can
immerse themselves in a journey across the entire country in literally an hour,
two hours or even half an hour – and this is priceless. Even more importantly,
people come here for inspiration, and afterwards travel to experience these
places in real life. After all, it is impossible to appreciate the beauty of
Kamchatka without breathing in the fresh ocean air; the uniqueness of the North
Caucasus is best felt when skiing down its slopes. And this list can go on
almost endlessly. But the most important thing is that the path to a real
journey across Russia begins here, in the very centre, with this remarkable
exposition," said the Governor of the Kamchatka region, Vladimir Solodov.
The Kamchatka region is part of the Far Eastern Federal
District, which is widely represented at the "Journey Across Russia"
exposition. The National Centre RUSSIA invites lovers of travel and natural
beauty to visit the exposition. Here, visitors can see a model of
Vilyuchinskaya Sopka – an extinct stratovolcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
This picturesque site, rising 2,173 metres above sea level, attracts tourists
from all over the world. Vilyuchinskaya Sopka has not only natural but also
historical value. Archaeological finds at its foot indicate ancient
settlements, and local legends speak of mysterious creatures inhabiting these
lands.
