At the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region, representatives of the regional Ministry of Education, children’s and student organisations discussed the results of the 2025 summer children’s health campaign and counsellor training.

Participants summed up the results of the summer children’s health campaign in the Primorye region. Thus, 90% of children were covered by various forms of recreation; almost 1,000 vouchers were allocated for children of participants in the special military operation. Thirty children from Primorye had a holiday in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and 100 children visited the Songdowon International Pioneer Camp in the DPRK. The Yunga Regional Children’s Centre hosted more than 1,500 holidaymakers. Plans have also been made to restore five Primorye camps.

The year’s most notable sessions were highlighted: Movement of the First, Yunarmiya, Eaglets of Russia (Orlyata Rossii), Avangard, Sirius and Horizons of Ideas.

Challenges in implementing the summer children’s campaign were also identified, including recruiting staff for children’s educational camps, counsellor pay, and the early requirement for counsellors to obtain sanitary record books for licensing.

Oksana Novikova, Head of the Department for Upbringing, Supplementary Education and Recreation at the Ministry of Education of the Primorye region, urged participants to exchange experience more actively and report all issues to the regional Ministry of Education.

"My request to the heads of children’s camps is this — do not remain silent, communicate. We would like your feedback on how comfortable it is for you to work in the region and with counsellors," she said.

Representatives of the regional government also expect active feedback from counsellors. For their part, the counsellors directly voiced the issues that concern them.

After the meeting, which ended on a positive note, participants went on a tour of the expositions at the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region and explored interactive spaces that tell the story of the region.

Guided tours are free for everyone. To take part, sign in on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region and choose a convenient date and time.
