Young artists created winter wonders at the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Primorye
Students of Children’s School of Arts No. 1 named after S. Prokofiev in Vladivostok created winter-themed collages, stained-glass works, and appliques at a workshop held at the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Primorye on 13 November. The children transformed simple materials into vivid and expressive compositions as part of their preparation for the city contest "Winter Stories".
The city contest of decorative and applied arts "Winter Stories" will take place in December. Head of the art department of the school Svetlana Lapayeva, along with teachers Tatyana Pogrebnyak and Vitaly Lapayev, helped young artists master new techniques, explore the theme and find their own interpretation of winter.
Some participants created collages using paper, fabric and natural materials such as twigs, leaves and textured elements. Others worked on stained-glass painting, carefully arranging ornaments and narrative compositions. Those who chose kinusaiga tried their hand at the Japanese technique, creating a three-dimensional image from pieces of fabric without using needles or thread.
After the workshop, the participants went on a tour of the expositions at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye. The children explored the multimedia spaces, discovering Primorye from a new perspective.
