Elegant and emotional: the "Russian Style: Steel" exposition opened at the RUSSIA EXPO
The "Russian Style: Steel" exposition opened at
the stand of the Donetsk People's Republic in Pavilion No. 75. The exposition
presents the works of artists dedicated to the combat operations in the zone of
the special military operation. They are made on plates from armored vests.
"This exposition is elegant and very emotional. With the
help of steel, the artists tried to convey the feelings they have against the
background of the events in the country, in Donbass. This is very
important," said the president of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia
Konstantin Khudyakov.
The curator of the
"Russian Style: Steel" exposition, artist Svetlana Cheprova spoke about the
historical importance of this project.
"Now we are presenting the exposition at a very high level.
It is very honorable for us. It is important that such projects now receive
publicity and support. This exposition is a comprehension of the war by means
of contemporary art. It reflects the historical events that are currently
taking place and, of course, is a link between the home front and the front,
strengthening the emotional connection between them," said Svetlana
Cheprova.
The "Russian Style: Steel" exposition united the works of contemporary artists from different regions of Russia. Among them are experienced masters and art students, painters and graffiti artists. The organizers sent them standard steel plates from army bulletproof vests, on which the authors had to conceptualize the events through images. The ideologist of the project is the artist and philosopher Anton Belikov. Now he is fighting in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near Donetsk. The exposition will run at the DPR stand until May 13.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
