How unity and love for the Motherland help achieve victory: Heroes of Russia spoke at the National Centre RUSSIA
Love for the Motherland and the desire to serve its well-being are deeply rooted in the culture of all the peoples of the country. Shared values truly unite and help achieve victory. This was discussed at the National Centre RUSSIA by Heroes of the Russian Federation Nursultan Mussagaleyev, Baldan Tsydypov, Alexei Petrov and Andrei Grigoriev. On 5 February, an open dialogue with the defenders of the Fatherland dedicated to unity and courage of the peoples of Russia was held at the venue. The event took place as part of the marathon "Russia — a Family of Families" organised by the Russian society Znanie.
"In the zone of the special military operation, my training helped me, as well as thoughts about home, about my family and about victory. Unity among fellow servicemen of different nationalities and faiths also helped — we were like a single fist. Together, we successfully carried out many tasks," said the Director of the Department for Patriotic Work of the Russian society Znanie, Hero of Russia Baldan Tsydypov.
The audience welcomed the speakers’ words with loud applause and actively joined the discussion. Participants asked what helped maintain strength of spirit and overcome fear, and also requested words of guidance for young people.
"Faith, family and brotherhood in arms — that is what helped me. We grew up listening to veterans of the Great Patriotic War talk about defending their Motherland. And we had to defend it as well. If not us, then who? So love your country and protect it," stressed the fighter of the 390th Brigade, Hero of Russia Andrei Grigoriev.
Hero of Russia, Guards Junior Corporal and platoon commander of the 39th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Red Banner Brigade "Storm-2", Alexei Petrov, responding to a question about what the help of a comrade meant to him — one who, despite being seriously wounded, pulled him from the battlefield — answered briefly and precisely: "We have the Russian spirit, and I am proud of it."
The Head of the Administration of the Novosergiyevsky District of the Orenburg Region, holder of three Orders of Courage and Hero of Russia Nursultan Mussagaleyev noted that he greatly values brotherhood in arms and is proud of his comrades who defend the Motherland, and also admires the younger generation.
"My comrades and I are invited to speak at various patriotic events. You look at the children — many of their eyes light up when you talk to them, when you communicate with them, they are genuinely interested. When we have such a young generation, our country can never be defeated. And the guys who are carrying out tasks in the special military operation today are doing it for Russia, for our future, for our young generation," Nursultan Mussagaleyev emphasised.
The marathon "Russia — a Family of Families" is dedicated to the launch of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The programme brought together more than four thousand young people — representatives of 194 peoples of the Russian Federation, as well as guests from neighbouring countries.
The livestream of the ceremonial opening of the Year of Unity of the Peoples is available on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
