In winter, skin and hair are under constant stress: frost and wind outside, dry air indoors, temperature fluctuations, heavy clothing, and hats contribute to it a lot. During this time, it's important to choose the seasonal skincare routine over a universal one, focusing on protection, nourishment, and gentle recovery. At the National Centre RUSSIA Department Store, you can make up a true winter skincare kit of products from Russian brands.

For the face: protection and recovery

In the cold season, light summer fluids should be replaced with richer creams that seal in moisture and help skin cope with temperature changes. For daytime use, face creams with pantogematogen and herbal extracts from the "Silapant" line are suitable. They help maintain skin elasticity, reduce feelings of tightness and dryness, and create a comfortable protective veil before going outside.

In the evening, you can add a more nourishing cream or mask with oils, niacinamide, berry and herb extracts — such as night creams and SOS masks from EthnoSiberian. Formulas with cranberry, sea buckthorn, natural oils, and soothing components work well after a frosty day: they reduce redness, help restore the skin barrier, and return softness to the skin.

For the body and hands: nourishment and comfort

The body skin often suffers no less than the face in winter: hot showers and heavy clothing increase dryness and sensitivity. The optimal routine is gentle cleansing and regular moisturising. For this, body creams with oils and plant extracts are suitable, for example, products containing linden and rosehip made by EthnoSiberian, or lines with plant oils and succinic acid made by the SPRING. Such products help deeply moisturise the skin, soften it, reduce irritation, and create a thin protective barrier against wind and clothing friction.

Hands are especially vulnerable in winter due to exposure to the open air and frost, and frequent washing. In such a case, it's important to have a rich cream with ceramides, lipids, and soothing components. At the Department Store, you can find, for example, nourishing hand creams from "Geltek" or "Silapant" brands: thanks to ceramides, oils, and panthenol, they help restore the hydro-lipid barrier, reduce dryness and flaking, and keep the skin soft and protected. Such a cream should be applied in a thin layer several times a day, and a little more generously at night.

Don't forget about lips: in winter, they quickly become chapped and cracked. The Department Store has a wide selection of lip balms from various brands, with or without fragrance, but all with oils and vitamins A and E, which protect, soften, and help heal minor cracks. This is a simple and universal product that is equally needed by both women and men.

For hair: gentle cleansing and protection

Hair becomes more brittle in winter, gets static, and the scalp may react with dryness or irritation. Here, gentle shampoos and nourishing conditioners or masks are important. A good guideline is products with plant extracts, oils, and ceramides, and free of harsh surfactants or unnecessary fragrances. At the National Centre RUSSIA Department Store, you can find, for instance, shampoos and conditioners with northern berries and herbs by the "Taiganika" brand or nourishing hair complexes from EthnoSiberian: extracts of sea buckthorn, cloudberry, nettle, chamomile, and phyto-proteins help strengthen hair, reduce dryness, lessen static, and make strands more manageable.

After washing, hair benefits from leave-in care — light oils or fluids for the ends. They protect against friction from scarves and collars, help prevent breakage and split ends. An important winter rule is not to go outside with wet hair and, if possible, use hot styling tools with no thermal protection less often.

Winter care doesn't require dozens of jars. It's enough to select a few products with the right composition: a protective face cream, a nourishing cream for the body and hands, a gentle shampoo and hair conditioner, and a good lip balm. All of this can be found at the National Centre RUSSIA Department Store, allowing you to collect your own — small but effective — winter "shield" that will help your skin and hair endure the frost in the best way.
