At the "Floating Structure" workshop, visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA will learn how rod structures are created — they are light, airy, yet stable. Architects Inna and Valery Salikhov will explain how these structures function, where they are used, and what makes them so strong. The session will take place as part of "The Birth of Scale" exposition on March 22 at 12:00 and 14:00. Participation is free, but prior registration on the website is required. The number of spots is limited.

Under the guidance of instructors, participants will assemble a tall composition themselves and gain hands-on experience in understanding the principle of a stiffness diaphragm.

"The Birth of Scale" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA showcases completed architectural projects as well as concepts that remained only as ideas. These include unique building models, blueprints, and layouts preserved in museums and private collections. The exposition is open to all visitors free of charge.

Partners of "The Birth of Scale" exposition include DOM.RF, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Gazprom, the State Research Museum of Architecture named after A. V. Shchusev, the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Yakov Chernikhov Architectural Charity Foundation, and the HSE School of Design.
