Participants of the talk show "Career in RUSSIA EXPO" at the RUSSIA EXPO discussed the specifics of the Russian labour market and formulated recommendations on career development for students and young professionals.

Valeria Kasamara, director of the Association of Organizers of Student Olympiads "I am a Professional", shared her opinion on how not to be afraid of job interviews.

"In order to not be afraid of job interviews - you have to give them a try. You should treat them as a training simulator, through which you improve your skills every time. It is necessary to prepare for entering the labour market in the same way as for university exams. Within the framework of the "I am a Professional" Olympiad we not only teach how to write a resume correctly, but also how to behave at a job interview: how not to be afraid of it and how not to get upset if it did not go according to the scenario you originally planned," said Valeria Kasamara.

Alexander Zbarsky, a representative of the HR Department of Russian Railways, spoke by personal example about the continuity of the training process and its importance for successful work.

"For the last 10 years, I have been constantly undergoing training at our corporate university or attending courses. Now the range of interests is shifting to informal skills - communication, working with people. It is necessary to understand what is in demand now. For example, I lack in-depth courses in Excel skills," said Alexander Zbarsky.

Elena Trdatyan, director of ECOPSY Consulting, also noted the importance of combining intellectual and physical activity if mental workloads increase.

"All psychologists and neuropsychologists say that if you start to increase intellectual load, you should also increase physical load at the same time, otherwise the organism simply cannot stand it," emphasized Elena Trdatyan.

Vladislav Balandin, a participant of the "I am a Professional" Olympiad, shared his employment experience.

"I got to the internship thanks to the "I am a Professional" Olympiad, which I got acquainted with in the second year of university. According to the results of the final stage, I became a prize-winner. This gave me a great impetus both educationally and career-wise. It resulted in my selection for an internship at the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The selection consisted of four stages: filling in the questionnaire, testing, online interview and face-to-face interview with the supervisor. Thanks to the cooperation between the Olympiad and the Central Bank, diploma holders have the opportunity to go straight to the online interview stage, bypassing the testing. I took advantage of this opportunity, passed all the necessary stages, completed an additional task and was offered to become a member of the Bank of Russia team," said Vladislav Balandin.
