Rides on a Russian troika and performances by the region's best bands: Day of the Kaluga Region
The Day of
the Kaluga Region is being held at the RUSSIA EXPO on January 12. The region
presented the main cultural and historical sights and its achievements in
various spheres. Much attention is paid to the development of vocational
education in the region. In September 2023, with the support of Russian
President Vladimir Putin, Russia's first Technopark in the field of vocational
education was opened.
"We
build houses, we build roads, kindergartens and schools, we build enterprises,
sports palaces and theaters, and all this - thanks to the support of our
President and the Government of our country, thanks to the national projects.
And, of course, all this is impossible without people who love our Motherland
and our region very much", - said Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
Vladimir
Putin also supported the idea of creating an international cluster of nuclear
education on the basis of the Obninsk Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering of
the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. At the same time, the
construction of a new Rosatom plant for the production of radiopharmaceuticals
has begun on the basis of the Obninsk Karpov Research and Development Institute
for Physical Chemistry.
"On
the basis of the Technical Academy of Rosatom located in Obninsk, which is the
head center for training specialists of all foreign projects of the company,
the International Nuclear Education Center will be built. We together with the
Director General of the Corporation Alexei Evgenyevich Likhachev went to the
President of Russia with this idea, he supported this idea, and so it will be
done", - said Vladislav Shapsha.
Of great
importance for the region is the development of the Mercator enterprise - the
leader of the Russian road and utility market, which produces every fourth
machine in the industry. The second area is the global development of IT
infrastructure. The company is the creator of the Monitor of the Year - a digital
twin of tasks and regulations for urban management.
There is a project of revival and popularization of Orlov trotters in the region. The Sickle Horse Breeding Farm has been operating in the village of Ladyzhino, Tarussky district, since 2011. More than 50% of elite thoroughbred trotters are winners and prize-winners of industry championships, expositions, competitions and shows.
Masterclasses from local specialists and refreshments are prepared for the guests - you can taste the dishes for which the Kaluga land is famous. In addition, the program includes rides on a Russian troika pulled by horses of the Orlov trotting breed, a concert program from the international music festival World of Guitar, performances of the best creative teams of the region, as well as meetings with celebrities. Among them, for example, figure skater, Honored Master of Sports of Russia Ilya Averbukh, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Ugolnikov and others.
