Concert programme "Let Us Bow to Those Great Years …" : the Alexandrov Ensemble will perform at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 23

The concert programme "Let Us Bow to Those Great Years …" is dedicated to the anniversary year of the Great Victory. On May 23 the National Centre RUSSIA will hear works from the golden repertoire of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A. V. Alexandrov. The audience will enjoy the best‑known wartime songs, including "The Sacred War," "Cranes," "Smuglyanka," "Victory Day" and others.

The twice‑Red‑Banner, Order of the Red Star Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A. V. Alexandrov is the world’s first army song‑and‑dance ensemble, founded by the outstanding choirmaster and composer, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory, Major‑General Alexander Alexandrov. This autumn the Ensemble will celebrate its 97th anniversary.

The Ensemble’s chief and artistic director is Colonel Gennady Sachenyuk, Honoured Artist of Russia and Professor at the V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art.
