Space is closer than it seems: Marat Airapetyan invites guests to the National Centre RUSSIA
A holiday on Mars — fantasy or our future? How will the exploration of other planets make life on Earth easier? And what space discoveries await us in the near future? These and other questions will be explored at the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Geography", which will take place on 11 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"We will talk about our future in space: what space technologies are already in use, what new developments will emerge and make life on Earth easier. And, of course, we will discuss what life on Mars will look like and when we might be able to travel there for a holiday. I am convinced that space will become as accessible as air travel. Come along — it will be interesting," invites Marat Airapetyan, a space engineer, member of a satellite development team, head of a Mars simulation mission control centre, author of the blog "Yura, We Can Do It!", and ambassador of Techprosvet on VKontakte.
The Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Geography" will focus on three themes, each reshaping our understanding of science: the geography of travel, where the journey becomes a tool for self-discovery and the search for meaning; the geography of hidden worlds, revealing the prospects of space exploration and the unexplored corners of the Earth; and climate and the geography of resources, which determine the future of regions and ways of life.
Guests will be able to immerse themselves more deeply in the atmosphere of the future through a special musical set and take part in creating a collective installation — a map of the future. The programme will conclude with a gastronomic masterclass dedicated to the influence of geography, technology, and local products on human nutrition.
The Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Geography" will become a gathering point for pioneers — those who do not simply look at the map of the world, but are ready to create it anew. Admission is free with prior registration on the website russia.ru. Follow updates in the "Events" section.
On 20 March, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted a meeting of the Literary Club "What to Read?!" on the topic "Women in Literature and Around It".
