Taiga forests and northern landscapes, a rich cultural legacy and cutting-edge technologies — international students visited the "Journey Across Russia" exposition and discovered the country in all its diversity. The exposition's interactive format not only helped the guests learn new facts about Russia, but also inspired them to explore its regions further. The international visitors also toured the "Legacy. Theatre. The Greats" exposition. Their visit to the National Centre RUSSIA took place as part of Rossotrudnichestvo's "New Generation" programme.

The scale of the exposition was particularly striking for the guests. Amirhossein Jafari Chashmi said that he had not expected to see such a large space dedicated to Russia: "Usually, you can walk through expositions like this in five minutes, but we have already been here for an hour — and it still hasn't ended. I particularly liked the area with the forest and animals. I often go to forests back home in Iran, so this part gave me a particularly warm feeling."

For Mariam Slim from Tunisia, visiting the exposition was an opportunity to see the diversity of Russia's regions brought together in a single space. She said that the interactive format of the exposition had made a particularly strong impression on her.

"I have long been interested in Russia's culture, history and technological achievements. When I came to this exposition, I was amazed by how the organisers had managed to bring together the diversity of such a vast country in one space — and, most importantly, make it interactive! Thanks to this approach, I remember every detail of every city," the student said.

Mariam also singled out the full-scale replica of a KAMAZ racing truck. Cars do not usually interest her, but here, thanks to the 5D cinema, visitors can feel like real rally participants and drive across the dunes of the African desert. So, Mariam's introduction to Russia's automotive industry was particularly thrilling.

"I also have to mention the natural beauty of your country. I was particularly struck by the volcanoes of Kamchatka and the northern landscapes. I have to admit that I now want to visit the coldest regions. For example, I would love to see the Arctic with my own eyes," Mariam added.

Ammara Gafur from South Africa highlighted the atmosphere and design of the exposition, as well as the opportunity not only to listen to stories about the country's history, but also to see objects, costumes and details of everyday life.

"I really enjoyed this exposition — it is genuinely atmospheric and beautiful, and there are so many opportunities to take great photos for social media. What I appreciated most was the interactivity: it is not simply a story about Russian history, but an opportunity to see everything with your own eyes," the international guest said.

After visiting the exposition, Ammara became even more interested in Russia. Above all, she would like to travel to St Petersburg — a city she had heard many good things about.

The guests also visited the "Legacy. Theatre. The Greats" exposition. Dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, the exposition invites visitors to explore the world behind the scenes of the theatre. The foreign guests learned how productions are brought to life, saw unique exhibits from leading theatres across the country and discovered the history of Russian theatre. The "Legacy. Theatre. The Greats" exposition will be open to visitors until 25 September
