The Krasnodar region celebrates 88 years since its foundation
On 13
September, the Krasnodar region marks its Region Day — it is a region that has
become a symbol of hospitality, fertility, and the vibrant cultural palette of
southern Russia. On this day in 1937, by decree of the All-Russian Central
Executive Committee of the USSR, the Azov-Black Sea region was divided into the
Rostov region and the Krasnodar region, which became the starting point for the
region’s unique path of development.
The Krasnodar
region is a land where the destinies of many peoples are intertwined, and where
ancient Cossack traditions coexist in harmony with modern achievements. From
fertile fields to Black Sea resorts, from innovative industrial clusters to
advanced medical technologies, the region shows how it is possible to preserve
the legacy of the ancestors while striving into the future — embodying the
spirit of true Russia: generous, soulful, strong, open and hospitable.
Region Day
in the Krasnodar region unites those who remember their roots and take pride in
the unique historical and cultural legacy of the Motherland. On this day,
themed history lessons, expositions, concerts and other cultural and
educational events are held across the region.
The
National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Krasnodar region on the 88th
anniversary of its foundation and invites everyone to the "Journey Across Russia" exposition, which includes the achievements of this region among
others. In the zone of the Southern Federal District, visitors will discover
the story of the Sochi Olympic Park — the main legacy site of the 2014 Olympics
and the country’s largest leisure and sports centre. Every year thousands of
tourists from all over the world come to Sochi to enjoy the natural beauty and to
learn more about the culture and history of Russia.
The conversation began with an examination of how Europe gradually, step by step, moved towards another major conflict after the First World War.
The survey was conducted from 3 to 8 June. A total of 1,712 women from across Russia took part.
The National Centre RUSSIA will serve as the main venue for a major event in the field of education — the Forum of Geography Teachers and Students of Specialised Universities.
