"Crimea — Sevastopol — Russia FOREVER": festive procession took place at the RUSSIA EXPO
On March 18, a festive procession was held at the International RUSSIA EXPO to mark the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. The event was attended by representatives of all regions of our country, members of the delegations of the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal significance Sevastopol, employees of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"», hundreds of volunteers and guides, members of the All-Russian Public State Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First" and guests of the Exposition.
The procession started from the Main Arch of VDNH. It was led by a brass band, which played musical compositions in honor of the Russian Spring. The participants, chanting the slogan "Crimea - Sevastopol - Russia - FOREVER", marched to Pavilion No. 75, where the guides of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip" unfurled fifteen-meter flags of Russia, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The participants of the festive procession included: Yuri Gotsanyuk, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea; Sergei Kudrin, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Crimea; Maria Litovko, Deputy Governor of Sevastopol; Olga Slavgorodskaya, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea - Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Crimea; Dmitry Sheryako, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea; Larisa Melnik, Head of the Regional Executive Committee of the All-Russian People's Front in Sevastopol; Marina Slonchenko, Head of the Sevastopol Youth Policy Department; Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"»; and Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
"The tenth anniversary of the Russian Spring is the most important event for Crimea, Sevastopol and every family in our region! In 2014, we knew that we were making the right choice, and today we were once again convinced of it! The epic "gathering of the Russian lands" began with us and the achievements of Crimea are a benchmark and the best confirmation of the correctness of the chosen path," said Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako.
"It is a great honor for me to take part in this festive procession, to open the celebration of the day of the tenth anniversary of Sevastopol's reunification with Russia at the grandiose RUSSIA EXPO. All generations have gathered here, we are united together as we were then, in 2014. This support from the whole country is still felt to this day. Today is immensely important for us - ten years ago we returned home. Sevastopol is with Russia forever," emphasized Marina Slonchenko, Head of the Youth Policy Department of Sevastopol.
Larisa Melnik is convinced that participation in such an event as the RUSSIA EXPO and the opening of the ten-year anniversary with a procession creates a sense of unity.
"Sevastopol is the Homeland of the "Russian Spring", it is very symbolic that it is on the day of our reunification with the Motherland that the preliminary results of the Russian Presidential election are announced, it is certainly a historical event that cannot be overestimated. It is an honor to be at the largest exposition of the entire country on this day, and the procession with which we open the ten-year anniversary here at the RUSSIA EXPO is a charge of good mood for the year ahead, a feeling of shoulder, a feeling that we are together!" Larisa Melnik, head of the regional executive committee of the All-Russian People's Front in Sevastopol, said.
Alexandra Fedyai noted that the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia has a special significance for the whole country and the world.
"10 years ago, regardless of age, nationality and religion, Crimeans made their choice, for their future, for Russia! We are confident that the Crimean Spring is a landmark event not only for our Republic and Russia, but for the whole world in general. The referendum of March 18 holds a special place in our hearts," said the head of the department of organization of mass events of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "House of Youth" of the Republic of Crimea Alexandra Fedyai.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 8 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place at VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
The series of educational lectures held as part of the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" continues to attract full audiences.
As part of the original educational project of the National Centre RUSSIA "Thursday. Development", a meeting will be held on May 24 dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Sholokhov.
The "Fantastic City" workshop by the HSE University School of Design took place on May 22 in the art classroom of "The Birth of Scale" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
