Legendary animation, documentary films and teenage drama await viewers at the RUSSIA EXPO
If you want
to watch a good movie, you can always find something to your liking at the
Exposition. From Friday to Sunday, June 7-9, you can enjoy one of the best
creations of the great Hayao Miyazaki and a touching melodrama about teenage
love. There are also several intriguing documentary films: from the life story
of a great writer to a study dedicated to the loneliest whale.
DOCUMENTARY FILM "BULGAKOV. THIS WORLD IS MINE" 16+
The plot is
based on the memories, memoirs, and letters of Bulgakov and his circle, shown
through the prism of theater. The film will answer various questions. Why do
Mikhail Bulgakov's plays consistently attract directors and delight the
audience? How did an author, who never traveled abroad, manage to make the
whole world fall in love with his works? What is "Bulgakov's
theater"? How did Bulgakov influence a new generation of playwrights?

DOCUMENTARY FILM "A SHORT TUTORIAL ON RAISING SEALS" 6+
Amazing
events occur in St. Petersburg. Seal pups have been spotted right on the banks
of the Neva River. At one time, it was believed that Baltic ringed seals were
completely extinct. The creators of the "Seal Rescue Center,"
Vyacheslav and Elena, never imagined that one day, in addition to their little
daughter, they would have a "child with flippers." The strange seal
Kroshik was twice released into the wild, like hundreds of other rescued pups,
but he resolutely did not want to part with people.

DOCUMENTARY FILM "THE LONELIEST WHALE. THE SEARCH FOR 52" 12+
There
exists a whale that sings at a frequency of 52 Hz — a frequency not perceived
by other whales. Because of this, it is forced to live in complete solitude.
Analyzing the sounds led to the conclusion that they are definitively made by a
whale, but who it is and what kind of special animal this is remains a mystery.

FIVE FEET APART 18+
The space
in which Stella and Will exist dictates a cruel condition — due to their
illness, they must always stay at least a meter apart, not even able to touch
each other. But true love knows no boundaries, and the stronger the feelings,
the more one wants to break the rules.
