Summer arrivals from social enterprise workshops now available at the Department Store RUSSIA

Beautiful things not only bring joy but can also change many people's lives for the better. The "From the Land of Creators" window display at the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA has been updated with products made by beneficiaries of non-profit organisations that have won contests held by the Presidential Grants Foundation. The new summer collection includes original ceramics, textiles and wooden accessories. Behind every piece lie the makers' talent, stories of overcoming challenges and a desire to make the world a kinder place.

Among the main new additions are wooden badges shaped like flowers and animals, created at the Moscow-based Communication Space centre. The centre supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while their parents and volunteers also join them in the creative process. Together, they make toys, jewellery and decorative objects from wood, ceramics and yarn. For many participants, the workshop has become not only an opportunity to fulfil their creative potential but also a place where they find support and a sense of unity.

The display has also been expanded with products from the Krasnodar charity Kind South. At its inclusive workshop, the first such venue in the region, people with intellectual disabilities learn ceramics, sewing, candle-making and plant care. The Department Store features elegant ceramic candle holders with botanical designs. Each one is handmade and has a character of its own.

Another new addition is the "Smolensk Ornaments" table runner, created by artisans from the inclusive workshop Normal Things. The project has brought together residential school graduates, professional mentors and socially responsible businesses. Today, the workshop produces textiles, ceramics, candles and wooden items. Every purchase helps its participants acquire professional skills, work as part of a team and build independent lives.

The "From the Land of Creators" window display, which opened in December 2025, introduces visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA to projects run by non-profit organisations from across the country. Here, creativity becomes not only an art form but also an opportunity for people with disabilities to adapt socially, develop professionally and fulfil their potential. Every item presented at the Department Store is more than a souvenir or decorative object. It offers an opportunity to support social initiatives that help people discover their talents, find work they love and feel part of a large community of creators.
