Summer 2040: ATOM Pavilion invites guests to the future
On July 7, the ATOM Pavilion at VDNH will host the
"Summer 2040" festival. Visitors will meet an unusual guest from the
future — Alisa Selezneva. Together with children and adults she will travel to
the not-so-distant year 2040. Discussions and debates about the future,
masterclasses, a light show and a futuristic atmosphere await the guests.
The festival will open at 10:30 in the hall of the ATOM
Pavilion - guests will be able to meet Alisa and her friend Vova. Then everyone
will be invited to the conference hall. A special program will be held there
during the day: conversations with experts in the field of information
technologies, neurobiology, energy and other spheres.
Thus, at 11:00 the guests of the festival will be able to
attend the discussion "The Mysterious 'Digital' 40s: from the Birth of
Cybernetics to Smart Cities". Its participants will discuss the evolution
of the digital world, trends and forecasts for the near future. At 13:00 the
debate "Technological Singularity: Will We Curb the 'New' Chain
Reaction?" will take place. Representatives of technical and humanitarian
schools will discuss how technologies will develop and whether humans will be
able to keep up with them. At the lecture "Media for the Future,"
which will begin at 14:30, one will learn what is happening to the media and
social networks in the context of the information explosion. At 16:00, a
lecture entitled "ITER Project: Creating the Sun on Earth" will
begin, and at 17:30 a discussion on "Medicine-2040 - from Bionics to the Digital
Self" will begin.
In between discussions, visitors to the conference hall will
be able to see a light show accompanied by musicians and artists. Also
throughout the day in the Pavilion, it will be possible to join various
activities for adults and children. For example, on the -3rd floor of the
Pavilion a large panel of Rubik's cubes with the image of the international
experimental thermonuclear reactor — ITER project — will be assembled. It is
planned to make a picture out of 1225 cubes.
From 11:00 to 19:00 in the lounge of the Pavilion will work
the zone of the event partner — "SoyuzMultPark". Here the guests of
the pavilion will enjoy a cartoon quiz, a masterclass "Space
Animals", a warm-up with Alisa, an attraction and other activities.
On the Alley of Knowledge, children from 12 years old and
their parents will be able to join the masterclass "Electronics for Smart
Devices". Its participants will be explained what the smart speaker
"Alisa" consists of and how it works. The masterclass "Electrical
Installation for the Youngest" will be waiting for children from 10 years
old. It will tell how home wiring is organized, how to correctly connect
sockets, light bulbs and various smart devices to the network.
Also, on the Alley of Knowledge there will be a mini-lecture
with interactive "Waste: From Negative to Positive". The audience
will learn about sorting and utilization issues together with the specialists
of the "Federal Environmental Operator". It will start at 12:00.
All events of the "Summer 2040" festival are free
of charge, some of them require additional registration. The detailed program

The International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the most important
achievements of the country in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural
events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The
expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and
public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 18 million people
have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place
on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the second day of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" the most remarkable essays submitted by authors in each track were presented.
The topic "Investments in Human Capital" attracted the largest number of essays from around the world, becoming one of the most in-demand themes within the framework of the Open Dialogue.
