The Literary Club "What to Read?!" to discuss Alexander Zhuravsky’s book "Alternative"
On 23 April, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a meeting of the Literary Club "What to Read?!". This time, the event will feature the futurist novel "Alternative" by Alexander Zhuravsky, Deputy Head of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, writer, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Candidate of Theology. The work presents a possible future of Russia and its place in global politics by 2034.
As tradition dictates, the moderator will be Alexei Chesnakov, Head of the Scientific Council of the Centre for Political Conjuncture and Professor at HSE University.
"Dear friends! We all, of course, want to know what awaits us in the future — ourselves, our families, our country and the world as a whole. There are many ways to explore this, but one of the most fascinating is fiction. I am pleased to present to you the new book by Alexander Zhuravsky, 'Alternative', which explores what lies ahead. On 23 April at 19:00, come to the Literary Club of the National Centre RUSSIA for a meeting with the author, Alexander Zhuravsky, and myself, Alexei Chesnakov. We will talk about the book 'Alternative', the future, artificial intelligence and, of course, what lies ahead for us and our country. Join us — it will be interesting," Alexei Chesnakov invited.
At the centre of the book is a possible future of Russia and its role in global politics. During the meeting, the author will share the concept and key ideas behind the book, discuss the specifics of the genre and present his perspective on the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence.
The Literary Club "What to Read?!" is a space for those who want not only to read but also to think independently, discuss ideas and learn more about books and their authors. Participation in the meeting, as well as in other events at the National Centre RUSSIA, is free with prior registration on the website russia.ru.
Join the discussion to explore how futurist literature helps make sense of Russia’s development trajectory and the role of artificial intelligence in the future of humanity. Guest gathering begins at 18:00, with the event starting at 19:00.
