Meanwhile, at the Museum of Cinema on Karetniy, on June 12 at 14:30, you can watch the film "Art and Fact" about the creation of the great masterpieces of the Tretyakov Gallery and discuss them with art historian Petr Baranov.

The film almanac "Art and Fact" will tell about the legendary paintings of the great Russian painters of the XIX century. Each of the four novellas is dedicated to one of the artists who are symbols of Russian culture: Ivan Shishkin, Vasily Perov, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Borisov-Musatov. "Morning in a Pine Forest", "The Troika", "The Fallen Demon", "Ghosts" — each of these paintings has its unique story, intertwining the fates of the characters and the creator. What happened to the boy Vasyatka from Perov's "The Troika" in real life? Did Shishkin really never paint the bears? Why did Borisov-Musatov see ghosts? And is it true that "The Fallen Demon" played a fateful role in Mikhail Vrubel's life?

Art historian Petr Baranov, curator of the A3 Gallery of the "Moscow Exhibition Halls" Association and a specialist in Russian art of the XVIII-XXI centuries, will help to understand the provenance and origin of the paintings that constitute Russia's great cultural heritage.

Free registration for the event is available here.
