Ildar Abdrazakov, the best opera bass of the planet, will perform at the RUSSIA EXPO on May 9
On Victory Day, one of the world's most famous opera singers, recognized as the best bass of the planet, will perform songs from the country's golden fund at the RUSSIA EXPO. Ildar Abdrazakov, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, will perform together with the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
The guests
of the exposition will hear songs that are infinitely dear and close to each of
us: "Cranes" and "Smuglyanka" ("Dusky Girl"),
"Dark Night", "Moments", "From Heroes of Bygone
Times" and dozens of other compositions that have become musical symbols
of the country and our Victory.
Ildar
Abdrazakov was born and grew up in Ufa. In 1999 he graduated from the Ufa State
Institute of Arts. While still a student, he took part in Irina Arkhipova's
television competition "The Grand Prize of Moscow", won the Glinka
Competition and was invited to join the Mariinsky Theatre.
At the age
of twenty-five, the artist made his debut at La Scala and has since sung on the
most prestigious stages: at the Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera, Vienna State
Opera and other renowned theaters.
Since 2015,
Ildar Abdrazakov has been heading the Elena Obraztsova International Academy of
Music in St. Petersburg. The Foundation for the Support of Young Talents,
created by the artist, annually organizes the Ildar Abdrazakov International
Music Festival, as well as performances, concerts and masterclasses of famous
vocalists in Russian cities.

Abdrazakov's vocal talent has been recognized with the Golden Mask National
Theater Award and two Grammy Awards.
