On the final day of the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth", the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia, Maxim Oreshkin, held an informal meeting with young people in a Campfire format. Participants included students from the HSE University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), SKOLKOVO School of Management, and Open Dialogue essayists. They were interested in the development of the economy and artificial intelligence, the education system, and the global economy.

Answering one of the questions, Maxim Oreshkin noted that sovereignty is backed not only by the economy but also, in many ways, by cultural tradition. Here, Russia has a fundamental difference from Western powers, which is hidden in its historical and cultural code, the speaker is convinced.

"Russia has never exploited anyone. Wherever it goes, it brings knowledge, partnership, cooperation, and joint development. We are always sincerely happy when our partners become stronger, develop, and gain independence. This is because only through such joint development does a Russian person receive internal satisfaction. Therefore, those who work with us and sincerely want to move forward receive all the opportunities to do so," said Maxim Oreshkin.

A separate block of questions was dedicated to technological sovereignty. Students were interested in how domestic entrepreneurs should perceive external markets beyond Russia and the CIS, and whether the state considers the expansion of domestic digital platforms abroad a national economic priority. Maxim Oreshkin explained that the Russian approach differs fundamentally from the Western one: according to him, the stronger the partner, the stronger our country.

Furthermore, Maxim Oreshkin invited the participants of the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" to continue their communication at the World Youth Festival, which will take place in Yekaterinburg from 11 to 17 September 2026.

"I would certainly like to invite all the essayists and young people who came to the Open Dialogue to take part in the World Youth Festival, which we will hold in Yekaterinburg in September... perhaps even in a broader composition. The dialogue in Yekaterinburg will take place in just a few months. I am sure that the very interesting communication will continue there. So, until we meet again," Maxim Oreshkin said.

Maria Andriyevskaya from the SKOLKOVO School of Management asked a question about the development of education in Russia and the world, including the influence of artificial intelligence. According to the second-year student, this issue is of particular interest to her because, being within the educational process, she sees with her own eyes how AI is already becoming a part of our lives today.

"It was very interesting to hear the opinion of a person who directly influences the decisions that are subsequently made, including in various educational reforms. I am very grateful for the answer; it gave me an understanding that the education system worldwide has not yet managed to adapt to the changes, as it is quite conservative, while various AI agents have been actively present in our lives for only the last three years. At the same time, this meeting gave me an understanding of how even we, the students, can not only observe changes in the education system but also be active participants in this process," said Maria Andriyevskaya.

The question from Margarita Lipovataya, a Candidate of Political Sciences, was dedicated to platforms and the development of informatisation in Russia.

"The Faculty of Global Processes at Moscow State University, which I represent, is actively involved in studying global processes and technologies, and everything Maxim Stanislavovich talks about is literally at the peak of our scientific research. Megatrends, education, and demography — all of this is extremely interesting to us, so I will even use certain aspects of the answer to my question in my scientific work. In general, I think that the answers to the questions asked by the participants at today's meeting will help to withstand the challenges we face," Margarita Lipovataya shared.

The Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" is an annual international event initiated by the National Centre RUSSIA in partnership with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third Rome", with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation.

The meeting with young people in the Campfire format was the concluding event of the Open Dialogue. Participants discussed global megatrends in the economy, technological development, the future of the educational system, the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence, and other pressing issues.
