"Moms. Children. Business": the RUSSIA EXPO told how to balance business and family life
The RUSSIA EXPO hosted the "Moms. Children. Business" Festival. It is dedicated to women who successfully balance family life and entrepreneurship.
"Among the capital's entrepreneurs more than 40 percent are women. Each one is engaged in their favorite occupation and develops their business in various spheres, for example, in the beauty industry, production of items for interior and design. They also develop innovations and technologies that are then used in everyday life by Moscow residents. The city actively supports female entrepreneurs and helps them achieve success. For this purpose, we, among other things, launch educational projects that enjoy popularity. The "Moms. Children. Business" Festival is another way to unite business women to share their experience with each other and just have a good time," said the Head of the Department for Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow Christina Kostroma.
The event began with the opening of the "Moscow Business Apartment Party" in the Cultural Projects Zone of Pavilion No. 75. The host Tutta Larsen discussed with the guests, among whom were founders of startups and owners of their own businesses, their projects and secrets of success. Among those who told their stories were Margarita Goldschmidt and Anna Zlotko, participants of the federal finals of the "Mompreneur" program.
The program continued at the Moscow stand. The guests were told about the priorities of supporting women's entrepreneurship in the capital. The emphasis was made on the fact that over the last year women's interest in starting their own business has grown, in part due to the support measures implemented by the city. For example, 57 percent of the recipients of educational support of the "Small Business of Moscow" SBI are women. Among the most popular subjects for female entrepreneurs are marketing, as well as personal and professional effectiveness.
Inna Bondareva, the founder and director of the "Targetta" company, shared her success story and path from a novice businessman to a sought-after developer of new technologies. Today she creates innovative solutions in the field of medicine. At the festival, Irina presented a VR-simulator for training medical students and doctors. The entrepreneur has been cooperating with the Moscow Government for a long time and takes advantage of the support measures provided by the city. For example, the company has repeatedly participated in expositions and business missions of various formats in Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE and other countries with the support of the Moscow Export Center.
Irina Kilyakova, director of "Virinka" company, was another participant who shared her experience of introducing innovative technologies into everyday life and benefitting from Moscow's support. Together with her team, she founded an augmented reality platform that allows a user to create AR objects in a few minutes and view the augmented reality through a regular smartphone camera. The company conducted the first test with the support of Moscow at VDNH: markers were placed on the walls of the pavilions, and by pointing at them one could learn the history of these pavilions and interesting facts about them on the screen of his smartphone. Piloting of the project was successful, and the developers decided to apply the technology in the fashion sector. They started to make clothes with augmented reality: the prints on them come to life the moment you point your phone camera at them.
Today, the company works in a variety of areas: education, tourism, medicine, etc. Moscow has given the entrepreneurs a grant for piloting. Now the developers are testing their technology in a Moscow school.
The festival was organized by the Moscow City Government together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Social Projects Support Fund as part of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative".
